From the March 2017 review of Invoice Management systems.
Acumatica Cloud ERP is designed for companies that have more complex financial requirements. The product is also well suited for growing businesses, and can be used on PC’s, Macs, tablets or smart phones. Acumatica offers a comprehensive core of financial management applications, including GL, AR, AP, Cash Management, Tax Management, Inter-Company Accounting, Payroll, and Fixed Asset Management.
One of the nice features in Acumatica is the ability to both accept multi-currencies, as well as the ability to translate the product into another language, so users can send invoices and statements in multiple languages, as well as accept currencies from other countries. Real time adjustments are made in Acumatica to reflect exchange rates and gains or losses on monies billed and received.
Acumatica allows businesses to easily accept credit card payments, and the customer portal allows customers to access their current AR balance and download any related invoices or statements, including statement history. The system can also be used with e-commerce sites, allowing users to offer products and accept payment online for those products.
Overdue invoices in Acumatica can have a finance charge automatically applied to a past due invoice, with the charge calculated by percentage, fixed amount, or by simply using a minimum charge amount.
Users can easily customize invoices to suit their needs, and estimates and quotes can be completed using Acumatica. Invoices can be prepared directly from a sales order, with users able to choose the frequency of the invoice. Users can also create recurring invoice templates that include renewal terms, billing schedules, and start and stop dates. These templates can also be used to link to employee time sheets in order to invoice billable hours.
Automatic reminders can be set up with users able to choose the frequency of the reminders. Both invoices and statements can be delivered to customers via mail, email, or through the customer portal, with users able to export these documents to Excel or save as a PDF. Copies of invoices and statements are automatically saved with the customer file for future reference.
Acumatica is a completely integrated system, so the AR module works seamlessly with other core accounting modules, as well as the other applications found within the product.
Reporting options in Acumatica are excellent, with a wide variety of system reports available that can be fully customized to suit the needs of any business. All reports contain drill-down capability, where users can access originating documents. An excellent selection of dashboards, graphs and charts are also available that reflect a variety of accounts receivable data including a complete customer aging report, customers that are over their credit limit, invoice analysis, expiring credit cards, and deferred revenue. Accounts receivable reports can be run using a variety of criteria including customer, project, location, and department. All Acumatica reports can be viewed on screen, printed, saved as an HTML file or PDF, or exported to Microsoft Word and Excel. Reports can also be shared with recipients via email if desired.
Acumatica is a comprehensive accounting and financial management software that offers multi-platform capability as well as flexible product deployment options. Acumatica is well suited for the mid-sized business, or businesses that have high projected growth rates. Pricing for Acumatica is customized, based on business needs and is available upon request.
